| Nusakake Falls | |

Nusakake Falls is at the approach to Nansho Mountain and was used by the local hunters to pray for their safe hunting in the old days. Its 7 meters height makes a good refreshing splash. The surounding nature reflects on the falls giving many different looks in every season. There is a walking path beside the falls which leads you to the top of the falls, which is one of the best places to view the falls. |
| Mt. Nansho trail | |

Mt. Nansho is 848 meters high and is a symbol of the town. It takes about 2 hours from Yahaba hot spring to the top of the mountain. There is vehicle access to the mountain's mid-point. |
| Riverside | |

There is a 1.4 km long walking path by Iwasaki river. There is a suspension bridge, a water mill, small rest houses and a skunk cabbege patch along the path. It is a good place to go for a walk in the woods. |
| Mt. Jyonai observatory | |

Mt. Jyonai is 328 meters high and the top of the mountain can be reached by car from the Kemuyama Dam side. The whole town can be viwed from this observatory. |
| Kemuyama dam | |

Kemuyama dam was built to prevent natural disasters, however the reflected landscape on the surface of the water is worth viewing. |
| Moriyama Pastoral Park | |

Moriyama is in the middle of the town. From Moriyama, the residential area can be viewed to the North and the pastoral area to South. All townspeople can apply to be an owner of a seasonal flowering tree which is planted in this Pastoral Park and cared for by the town. |
| Ruins of Tokutan castle / Race and History Museum / Nanbu Magariya | |

In 1969, the Ruins of Tokutan castle was designated as a national historical site. It was built in the last piriod of Ritsureiseido, by seii shogun Funyano Kutamaro. The purpose of this castle was to be a main base for Ezohirasada. Today, it has been reconstructed to be an historical site park. Many excavations from Naomori tumulus and around the town are displayed at Race and History Museum and old farm machines and implements are displayed at Nanbu Magariya. |
| Swan's Winter Home (Kitakami river) | |

Every December, about 250 swans come to the Kitakami river (Tsuchibashi area). Local pepole volunteer to feed swans. Tokuda Elementary School also hosts a fund raiser for swan food. |
| Best place for Autumn colors | |
|
Nansho tunnel, which connects Yahaba town and Shizukuishi town, is one of the best places to see Autumn colors. Coming through the first tunnel from Honcho (Nansho 2nd tunnel), you will find Nansho mountain right in front of you. |
