Sumitsuke Matsuri, known as 「Seadodaki」, is an annual event to cereblate Senjyu-Kannon to pass the old year. It was started about 400 years ago and is held at Kannondou which is half way up Mt. Jyonai. The event is held on the first Saturday of February. People pray for good health and put charcoal on their faces. |
